Well got my new weight yesterday! My valentines gift from my husband now has the front weight less likely to pop those wheelies!!!! There might be enough power still but doubt it…. He bought me the RJ from David in Arkansas a few years back we posted on the trip! The moment we saw the ad on here about the front weight we had to have it! Seize the moment, don’t know when ever come across another for sell…! So here I just wanted to share pictures of it! My tractor is a bit dirty from winter setting but i wipped it down just a little for the photo opt!!
I had a bit of an idea for my 310-8. I’m thinking about making a weight bracket that kinda slides onto the factory wheel horse bagger mounts. Anyone ever do anything like this before? How much weight do you think the bagger mounts could hold? I probably wouldn’t put anything past 50lbs on it.
Kinda like the modern craftsman weights they mount to the rears of the tractor. I’d figure it’ll help counter balance the blower in winter
Hey guys, @wheelhorseman, @WVHillbilly520H, are these wh disc ? Picked em up in hickory,n.c. today for $100. Took a chancce. Got the sleeve hitch set up for $80. Found that on the carcass I originally went to buy the steering wheel and rear rims. You just have to look for this stuff, and once in a while you get lucky!!!!
Just of quick pic of my 520 getting ready to hill disc the garden.
I see youtube videos of smaller garden tractors tossing around the 36" Brinly-Hardy disc harrow style discs but has anyone used anything bigger? It may be a stupid question or bad thing to do but I'm just curious. I'm thinking a 520 could theoretically be made to run a hydraulic line set out the back to lift and lower a larger disc. I don't see any reason why with some wheel weights and Ag tires it wouldn't be able to pull a larger disc.
I'm not thinking anything huge but maybe a small double gang disc, something in the 4-5' range after taking the outer plates off of a 6' unit?
