Retired Sparky 526 #1 Posted March 3, 2016 (edited) This winter has been less than average for us in the N.E. for snowfall and I'm sure for lots of other areas. So with no snow in the back yard I start looking for thing to do prier to spring temps. It was time to refinish the flag pole. A little sanding, some new stain and two coats of urethane. I now have a flag pole is ready to display old glory on for another year. Today is less than 15 degs. and a right smart breeze. RedRanger 1,468 #4 Posted March 3, 2016 Strung new rope and pulley on our Flag Pole Sunday. Amazing how the weather is a flag's worst enemy.

I actually finished the flag pole on Sunday but the sun swung around the house so I couldn't get a good pic of the flag in the morning sun. Thanks for the info. 33 minutes ago, RedRanger said: Strung new rope and pulley on our Flag Pole Sunday. Amazing how the weather is a flag's worst enemy. You're right. How long would you last tied to a skinny pole.
