We had a feathered spectator during the championship game of the tournament we hosted this weekend.

Look closely where the tall trees start on the left.   The nest is in the large tree to the right.

Zoomed in 14x.

BTW, the boys  played  some great baseball to win their second tournament  this year.

Yeah, we're having high winds again and it blew some grass over the egg.  They are spending less and less time on the egg.

Just a little update. The egg is no longer in the nest. On 5/22, one of the eagles came and removed the contents from the egg and moved the shell to the side. On the 5/23 and 5/24 the egg was broken into pieces and removed from the nest. You can watch the sequence in the time-lapse clips.

Better luck next year :(

Picture below shows the remnants of the egg.

A lot of activity on the Hanover nest.              The first egg should come in ~ two weeks.

Mama Eagle has the nest looking good.  They have really beefed up the structure.  Amazing how they can weave those large limbs.   She seems to be looking for Papa now.

Mama could use a snow thrower with a cab this morning.  I had to quit watching...the swaying trees made me feel a little queasy.   15-30MPH winds for today.

The egg came at 5:45PM  yesterday and the Pittsburg pair had theirs 2 minutes later.

The Berry College pair also hatched their first egg yesterday

The Hanover eagles survived the 40MPH wind storm we had last night, but the Pittsburg pair were no so lucky.  Their tree blew over during the night. Both eagles survived, but the egg was lost.  She is due to lay a second egg today and may lay it in a ground nest. In 2015, this pairs nest blew out of the same tree and they continued to raise the eaglet on the ground.

Still blowing 25MPH here.
