JackC 616 #8 Posted December 23, 2015 Straight from the horses arse. This is the maintenance sticker on the rear of my 1978 D-200. Many seem to prefer Mobil 1 Synthetic. Some believe the synthetics will leak through seals easier and believe it may be better to stay with dyno based oils for the older machines. Share this post Link to post Share on other sites

But only because Autozone had a great deal on it. I haven't experienced any issues with synthetic. I'm not sure if they were even available back in the 70's like they are today.
