May be item 28 on this page

There is an almost clear urethane tape used on the leading edge of aircraft wings that has been used on autos in areas subject to stone abrasion. Bet that product would work and often sold with auto body adhesive side moldings.

Garry thanks for pointing out the sticker, lol should have seen it  myself. The seat kept frustrating me cracking and holding water better than a spung, I got it at Tractor Supply Company, worked out great and helps my back so I put one on the 314-8 and other 520

I threaded a piece of clear vinyl tubing on the first loop of the seat springs.  That will help protect the paint or your new decal.  The paint will still scuff, so I would do both.

I don't have the seat switches hooked up on mine so I removed the coil springs.

I purchased new rubber bumpers though and installed rubber pads on the fender to protect the paint.

This has been done to all of my 520's.

Yes very neat trick on the bumpers cleat, will have to do that to mine. Any good sources for the gas spring on the seat? Mine is shot and a real pain when gassing up. Toro must be quite proud of their's

I now have 4 of these on my machines and they work great.

I can't take the credit though, I found it on this site a couple of years ago.
