MaineDad 85 #1 Posted October 16, 2015 Guys,I don't recall seeing this before, but does anyone else have a K321 where the threads (hole) of head bolt #7 in the torque sequence go straight into the exhaust port? I picked up one and I can stick a screwdriver into that hole and see it if I look up into the exhaust port with the muffler removed. Thanks,Micah

pacer 3,159 #3 Posted October 16, 2015 Yep, and it and the one just across from it are notorious for getting stuck and breaking off in the block - I've had to get dig 3 of them out!

oldredrider 2,547 #5 Posted October 16, 2015 A coating of never seize on the threads of the head bolts helps with removal...even in the future.
953 nut 51,510 #6 Posted October 16, 2015 If the threads extend beyond the block, and therefore are not contributing to head torque I wonder why they didn't use a shorter head bolt?
