How far or not, have you gone for a Horse?

I ask this because most that I find are a good few hours away, and with fuel cost being so high it has to be factored in on the purchase price.

But get this, my 1st Horse came from my neighbour and tonight I driving 4 miles to look at another. Shh the wife is listening!

If we are talking distance within UK , the farthest I have traveled is from Somerset to Manchester around 200 miles I guess , and that was to pick up my 701.
but the farthest that one of my tractors have traveled is from Connecticut USA and that is my Senior &  RJ35 which I bought Both from  Michael Martino " author of  The Wheel horse Story

Not much fun driving the roads in the UK, most are over crowded or falling apart.

Besides no one in my family get my new hobby for horses. (See what I did there)

:text-yeahthat: Dennys502 pick up is also going to include a stay at a fishing resort....gonna have to figure out how to get the horse in the boat tho... oh geez  almost forgot the quality time with the Mrs...

Tell the family ther are alot worse hobbies & addicts than a fondness for the ponys.....

As it says under your user name , Nut Job.

750 miles round trip. Broke down 140 miles from home, so that was on a roll back. Made it a very long day. Hopefully a good story one day.

They do say it's the bumps in the road that make the journey.

I don't know the exact distance. I'd say at least a couple hundred miles or so. From my home in far S. Jersey to Kevin B's house in CT.

I guess you guys over the pond have to travel as your country is so vast, but I'm shocked by the distance some of you have gone:auto-driving:
