Thats a good deal for 700 maybe you could offer him 600. The engine is a great engine, they go forever and parts and attachments are everywhere for it.

Thanks, dave

The 314-8 is an awesome tractor. I have one and it has become my go to tractor for almost everything. I have used a mold board plow with it in my garden, I cut my 2 acres of grass with it, this past winter I plowed my 200' long driveway with it. It doesn't bog down and uses very little fuel. I can get well over 2 and a half grass cuttings on one tank of gas (I don't run out but it gets pretty low).
I bought mine about a year ago and really didn't have plans on it becoming my favorite but over time it has become my favorite.
I think that $500-$600 is fair.
snow blade=$150
Kohler 14 = $100
chains = $50
tractor = $200-$300

Did you buy it ?

I noticed in the  add that the  original motor came with it, is that a  Kohler 12  MAG on the machine now ?  What happened to the original motor, those are very hard to kill unless they are ignored for regular service, oil/filters etc.

I own a 310-8, bought new in Ct, in 1987 , cut grass, hauled wood, plowed snow for easily 20 of the 29 year life.   The  Kohler Mag 10 with  over 1300 ,logged hours is still running strong.  Reg maintenance will allow the  Kohler Mags to run forever.

The 300 series WH is a great machine with a proven track record of quality,   "Strong like Bull  "

TORO brought  back the 300 under their name from 2002 to 2007 as the 315-8.
