TT-(Moderator) 1,127 #1 Posted March 28, 2015 Wow! Haven't done this in a while! Another save of an orphaned 'Horse from a local OPE shop. 1986 416-8 with 801 hours. Only known issues are a broken connecting rod and a few cannibalized parts. (coil & light switch) 48" deck appears to be in great condition other than the leading edge of the shell looks like it was used as a grader blade. Particulars weren't divulged, but I presume the owner didn't like the cost of repairs and traded it in on a running machine. They did tell me that the crankcase had very little oil upon arrival at the shop. No visible external damage or extra ventilation holes in the block, so I guess I'll open it up and assess the damage. Plenty of room, decent power, good looks, and the ever-popular parts & implement interchangeability.
