Regarding paint pens.

This is exactly what I did with my dash. I did not have a straight silver, only a purple/silver pen and did not want to buy a new one! It works for me, I am a "make it functional" kind a guy so this is fine.

The silver ones are a matte silver rather than shiny, but still it works well.

I used to work in AV and we marked all the equipment with these paint pens. They hold up well and are hard to remove, so I expect they would hold up well here too. And easy to touch up.

Thanks Guys !!

Karl, Even with all the new parts, and rebuilding the Sundstrand, it should still come in under $1500. All new bushings and springs in the hydro control and PTO control. At least one new hyd lift hose, etc. Also picked up a new PTO brake, spark plug, and points for it today, as well as all the freshly blasted metal. The garage is warming up now, so you know where I'll be tonight!

BTW, do you think I should put ag's or turf tires on the back? 2 ply or 4 ply? Either way, it will have a new set of Carlisle's all the way around.

Stephen, yep, re-painting all the parts.

Eldon.

PS. I even remembered to bring the camera along home today!

Put the hydro control and belt/parking brake controls back on it, with new idler pulley, bushings and springs. Repainted the handles to "Light Gray" instead of the silver that I originally used.

The hydro lift is re-installed now.

The hood and fenderpan are in primer.

Eldon,

It's coming along very nicely. I applaud your efforts here. It's going to be the best looking "parts tractor" that I know of. :D
