Either somewhere on this forum or on the Midwest Custom Graphics website, there are instructions on how to put on the decals.  Do a search and you will find it.  It did, and followed the instructions to the letter and the install was a piece of cake.  As far as protecting them to keep them from getting scraped off-tree branches and shrubs hitting the tractor when you drive by seem to be the biggest culprits... so trim back the shrubs.  Good luck with your install.  If you it do right you will be very pleased with the result.  Note:  make sure the paint has cured for at lest 2 weeks before you install the decals.

I am using rustolium rattle cans for paint. It says it cures in 2 days on the can. Should I still wait 2 weeks or?

For rattle can paint I would wait 30 days.

Let me elaborate on that. When I did my first restoration back in 2010, I was using rattle cans to paint my B-100. I was having a terrible time. Everything that touched the paint either nicked it or scratched it. It seemed like it just was not curing. So I decided to call the technical service department for the paint manufacturer. Their statement to me was that even though the instructions on the can say 48 hours, it can take up to 30 days for the paint to fully cure, depending on temperature and humidity.

Drying to the touch means that the surface is dry, but there may still be solvents left to evaporate. If the paint is not fully cured, that means that all the solvents have not fully evaporated. Applying a decal, which is vinyl, will prevent any further evaporation of solvents from the paint. The problems that may arise are bubbles and actual discoloration of the vinyl. If you try to remove the decal at a later time, the paint will pull off.

I would wait 1 or 2 months or whatever time that rattle can paint takes to completely dry/cure!  press you finger in a inconspicuous area and see if it leave prints that don't wipe off.

Hello all. I am looking for suggestions on adapting the pto from my C series tractor to a harbor freight predator 420 13hp engine. I know the predator motors are a controversial topic however it is the route I have chosen for this particular machine. The intent was to mostly use it for plowing so no PTO required but it would be handy to have. Looking to hear from someone that has successfully done the swap that may offer any advice before I attempt to transfer it over. Just looking for any general pointers that will help me along the way to make it go as smoothly as possible.

I am new to this group. I have my sons collection of Wheel Horse tractors that are definitely rare models. He still has one to pick up that’s dual wheel and was purchased from Peabody Coal Co. This is the perfect site to get involved with. The best advice comes from folks that are hands on.. had to be their own machine shop. Nothing compares to the knowledge in this group.! But my first topic is this 19hp Craftsman INDY 500 limited edition model. I was reading a topic on here about the 18hp and 20hp models, but cannot find a single replica of this tractor on ANY site or e-bay. We live near central Ohio, so I’m assuming it’s a regional release. The Briggs engine lobes like a medium cam in a V8. We thought it was an intermittent miss, but it’s not missing a bit. The engine is the strongest riding tractor I’ve ever operated. It will literally cook the deck belt in high grass before dragging the engine down. Very wide and lower to the ground. I never got the size, but the rearend is all tires.! Looks like a dragster from behind.. almost  gives the appearance of shortened axle tubes in a hot rod. Just wondering if anybodys ever seen this particular model. My next top is will be about the C160 total hydraulic Wheel Horse he just acquired. Claim they were specially made for snow removal.

New to the forum, but not to Wheel Horse. I just bought a 314-8 on the gear shift pattern there is what Toro calls a spring shift control, my 312-8 doesn't have this The 314 is a 1999, what was the purpose for this. Thanks.

I need a little part number help.   I'm looking for the part number of the idler pulley that tensions the drive belt on my 857.  The diagram shows the left side of the tractor.  And I can't seem to locate the pulley on the parts drawing.  The bearings have gone out on my tractor's idler.

I needed to disassemble the brake/cluch linkage on my 857.   Am I missing something or do 2593 Clutch Rod, 5544 Parking Brake Lever and 3935 Brake Rod all need to be in place on 4899 Clutch Rod Pivot Arm  before I can struggle to align the holes with that of the 3950 Idler Arm Shaft to insert the roll pin?  I'm using up all my naughty words trying to get this back in place.  I'm hope someone can suggest a better way.  Or all you can do is extend your sympathies?
