jaydeer 14 #1 Posted July 13, 2012 I'm sure it has been posted before but couldnt find in the search. I know production numbers were not kept accurately, but was asked how rare a 418A was. I have not seen many and just wanted to see what the forum thought. I know the early Rj's and Ponds were rare, but would be more interested in the later models. I am aware they only made around 560 C195s and a limited number of 1045's. ANy information would be good to know. Thanks
jusjeepn 59 #2 Posted July 13, 2012 418a is not a rare tractor. My rare tractor list is a s follows: 1) RJ25 2) RS83 Senior 3) Lever steer 4) RJ59 5) 420LSE 6) 1046 7) C195
CasualObserver 3,406 #3 Posted July 13, 2012 Don't forget the 520-8... very few of those made. (like 250 or something.) Of the latest style of tractor, those and the 420LSE models are the rare ones, and even "rare" is maybe not the right word. There are more than 100 of each... I'd say they're more of a hard to find and buy kind of thing. Not often for sale... like the 1046 and C-195 Pat listed. Not like the Pond tractors. Those are very few and far between. (unless you're Clay, Vince or Steve.... then you just open the garage and they come running to you. ) 1

Scotsman 46 #24 Posted July 26, 2017 (edited) I have a 418-A and I live 3 miles North of Boston so it wears a snowblower year round. its a beast! all the power I need, and the fluid hydro drive is simple. hopping on it is like puttin on your most comfortable boots. Cast iron 50 LB's in the rear, and a newer model single stage tall chute that gets a nice rooster tail of snow flying 35 feet away. Retired Wrencher 4,829 #25 Posted July 26, 2017 As to my post in 2012 I am rethinking this as I still think a 607 is very hard to come by. It took me 3 years or better just to find one. I have not seen many posts on this model. Just my Enjoy what ever you have.
