buckeyes 191 #1324 Posted December 26, 2018 I brought this home from my parent's this afternoon. Dad bought this new I believe in the spring of 1988. He traded in his 1976 C-160 8-speed, which he also bought new in July of 1976. Both of those tractors were used year round, and both fantastic machines. I don't know which tractor I personally had more working hours on, but it seems like half my childhood was spent on each of them. From mowing in the summer to hauling loads of wood in the fall and endless hours of plowing snow (never with a cab of any kind), these tractors really were dependable workhorses. The 416-8 is all original, and the engine has never been rebuilt (those are the actual hours on the working meter). I believe the head was removed in the mid-late 90's to clean the carbon and adjust the valves. Dad said he had a new carburetor put in a couple years ago as well. She's pretty rough around the edges, but I kind of hate to restore it. It still runs great. I might just fix whats broken and leave it as is. 2 6 Share this post Link to post Share on other sites

Just clean it up a bit. Maybe paint up the muffler and throw a little Gorilla tape on the seat Corners so they don't get any worse and fix what really needs to be done.
