:text-yeahthat:now that is what I call “Patina”.  Lots of possibilities there Richie, gotta love the GT-14 only three point tiller and the Cat 0 three point setup—those two items are worth the trip alone.  I think Skittles would love that three point!

Yeah she’s rough. Rototiller bearings are shot. I have to find the model/serial number on the tiller and start studying a manual. Hey at least I have it. Project for a later day.

Another trailer load to move up to NC when you retire.   You will need to get loading instructions from @pullstart.      :ychain:

I’ll see Richie this Saturday, we’ll have lessons then... though he paparazzi’d my haul before, probably he has had time to study up!

Headin’ to see the “Mouse” Kevin?:ychain:

Or just trying to escape this crummy northern weather?  Spoke to Richie yesterday while I was helping Jim @WHX21 install heating in my shed and he said it was in the 80’s and he was running the A/C in his truck.  Hard to imagine with the teens and twenties we’ve been seeing up here...

He’s making a pitstop here on his journey to Miami for a cruise. Going to try and pawn off a c175 transmission on him. 😎 Cleaning house.

supposed to be in the 60’s/70’s here the rest of the week. High of 66 tomorrow. Nice weather compared to “97 but feels like 105” crap.

Super-C 4 me

On Saturday I went to pick up a set of rear wheel weights.

Score, got the Wheel Horse wheel weights.

Then this jumped in my truck just as I was leaving.

I brought this home from my parent's this afternoon. Dad bought this new I believe in the spring of 1988. He traded in his 1976 C-160 8-speed, which he also bought new in July of 1976. Both of those tractors were used year round, and both fantastic machines. I don't know which tractor I personally had more working hours on, but it seems like half my childhood was spent on each of them. From mowing in the summer to hauling loads of wood in the fall and endless hours of plowing snow (never with a cab of any kind), these tractors really were dependable workhorses. The 416-8 is all original, and the engine has never been rebuilt (those are the actual hours on the working meter). I believe the head was removed in the mid-late 90's to clean the carbon and adjust the valves. Dad said he had a new carburetor put in a couple years ago as well. She's pretty rough around the edges, but I kind of hate to restore it. It still runs great. I might just fix whats broken and leave it as is.

@buckeyes

with over 5,000 hours on it and it still runs and drives I'd almost want to just keep driving it and driving it and driving it just to see how far it will go.

like you say. Just clean it up a bit. Maybe paint up the muffler and throw a little Gorilla tape on the seat Corners so they don't get any worse and fix what really needs to be done.

I'm generally a fan of the older machines but I love to hear the stories about family connected stuff.

You should be proud of that one.
