I went for this C-160 Auto, picked up a parts/kind of roller/quite beat up 606 thing too.  He mentioned a JD 110 going too on the phone but wanted another $100 for it.

It’s rough around the edges, but the transmission fluid is a pretty red and the engine rolls over... so I have faith in it being a runner!

I'm not sure where all the extra posts came from...sorry about that.    Maybe me new eyes are seeing triple.

Anyway, I bought this thing for the seat.  After I got it home and found it has a WH style drive clutch/idler and brakes, I am curious to find out what it is.

I assume it is missing the front end steering that must have a mount for the engine.  There are no holes or marks on the frame where an engine would have been bolted or clamped.

Any ideas?

Well I guess I was gonna ask you the same thing...

I'm thinking a sulkie for a walk behind that could catch power off of a rear PTO?

I was thinking a front mounted reel mower.  The reel could be powered by it's own wheels like a hand mower.  But I'm still confused as to where the engine mounts to power the rear wheels.     The only hole is the single 3/4" hole in that galvanized weldment that is fastened to the frame with two bolts and is adjustable front to back.   That appears to be the bearing for a bicycle  or tiller type steering axle.   The drive belt has to come thru the tubular hoop shaped piece and probably have a 90 degree twist to attach to a vertical shaft engine.

I just looked at the pics and the hoop shaped piece is not shown.   It is just behind the calv. weldment.

Ok...  I have some time so I’ll think about this, so I’ll do my best without reference or being near the tractors.  We’re up north in Lake City, MI at Merritt Speedway (and hotel) for a two day “B Modifieds” $10,000 to win race.
