Anyway, I bought this thing for the seat. After I got it home and found it has a WH style drive clutch/idler and brakes, I am curious to find out what it is. I assume it is missing the front end steering that must have a mount for the engine. There are no holes or marks on the frame where an engine would have been bolted or clamped. Any ideas? The reel could be powered by it's own wheels like a hand mower. But I'm still confused as to where the engine mounts to power the rear wheels. The only hole is the single 3/4" hole in that galvanized weldment that is fastened to the frame with two bolts and is adjustable front to back. That appears to be the bearing for a bicycle or tiller type steering axle. The drive belt has to come thru the tubular hoop shaped piece and probably have a 90 degree twist to attach to a vertical shaft engine. First glance l was trying to figure out what kind of attachment was on that tractor! Then l saw the tires up off of the bed of the truck.
