The 1976/77 B-60 would be the lowest hp (recoil start K-161 Kohler @ 7hp) tractor with the "true" 8 speed.

The 1967 867 had the 6 speed (same principal - but before the Wheel Horse marketing team started counting reverse as "speeds") and is the only short-frame / small-block (K-181 Kohler) production model.

The 1962 to 1968 Lawn Rangers can be converted rather easily, as can the 1961 551 and the '61 to '64 front-engined round hoods.
