fourwheels0 191 #1 Posted October 15, 2011 got this for $25 . mice got to it pretty bad needs a carb,coil,wiring so far that i know of. the carb is seized up tight (from mice urine) so i think it's toast. owner used the coil for another one. i need to tear things apart and see how bad it really is. maybe she'll run again hopefully but if not then i have lots of parts . he also had a ark 550 loader but it was missing the lower frame work and pump. it's pretty rusty and sitting outside. too bad i couldn't use it on my c 160. Just try soaking the carb in carb cleaner then try moving them .If still does not what to move use break away for the carb parts. good luck and if you need help you are in the write place for that. fourwheels0 191 #8 Posted October 16, 2011 well the carb is definitely shot. mice urine ate at the aluminum and destroyed it. there may be some usable parts but that's it. the wiring i think is fixable only 1 wire looks to be chewed through. the deck doesn't look too bad and i think is usable. fourwheels0 191 #13 Posted October 18, 2011 well here's an update lol. it looks like it might be a parts tractor. i tried a new carb and coil and get nothing. jump the solenoid and it turns over but no spark. i'm thinking the wiring is shot. i think a full tear down and cleaning and checking all contacts,grounds ect is really whats needed but i just hate wiring . also the solenoid is broke off at the mount and you have to hold against the engine to get it to turn over. so it needs a solenoid too. there's alot of corrosion on this. too bad i can't get it in the garage to tear it down. garage is way too full of crap.
