D- series question

Recommended Posts

multihobbyguy

I have a chance to buy a D-180 this summer and was wondering about the front PTO. The tractor has what I would call a rear PTO but no front PTO. Is this something that can be added without a lot of trouble? I honestly know very little about a d-series tractors. I plan to eventually find a snow blower for the front and I assume that it would run off the front PTO. As I stated I know little to none about these machines but I am looking for a larger tractor and the price is very right. If you have knowledge you would like to share that would be great, Thanks, Chris.

The D series front PTO is the front portion of the shaft that runs to the back.

You can see in the pic the front splined stub, thats the front PTO shaft. Just remove the plate and your ready to go.
