fabricator2009 48 #1 Posted May 29, 2011 I have a d200 that runs great, looks great, but when I use it for an extended period of time it will hardly pull its self. Is it the pump going bad or does the tranmission need rebuilt? Hope some of you "D" series guru's came give me some advice on this. Thanks in advance. Ken. catman81056 3 #2 Posted May 29, 2011 Did you try changing the fluid and filter? Other than that, it sounds like the pump is getting weak.
pfrederi 17,143 #3 Posted May 30, 2011 Does your temperature gage work? If so what is the reading when you lose power? Do you have a cooling fan on your D200. Some years had them some not. On a D the hydro is in two parts a pump (up by the engine and a hydro motor mounted on transaxle. Either one or both could be your problem. I replaced my pump only to find the motor was the problem. Do you have a three point hitch?? If so will it lift a heavy load when the tractor has lost power???
