Will front steering spindles from a 518 fit my 312?

If the 312 had 6" wheels, then it will have longer spindles to compensate for the shorter tire/wheel combination.

Apart from the length, the spindles will physically fit.

Are you going to put 8 inch tires up front?

Rob,

As Mike pointed out, you will need the 8" rims on the shorter 518's spindles to maintain the same height of the front axle.

312 has tall spindles and 6" wheels, hope this makes sense.
