Romping Dune Buggy in 6" snow

Recommended Posts

clintonnut

Took it out for a spin! Hit speeds of 40mph in 6" powder. Front wheels disappeared at times. Wonder what it will be like with the aluminum side panels mounted and a 600 triple! Only has a arctic cat 340 f/c. Oh, yes it will have a fuel tank in the back in a less dangerous place!

Looks fun....wish I was young again. If I got in that thing now I would never get out...lol...without the fire company or other rescue people.

Thanks for the comments.

I have a question about vw speedometers. I have a vw speedo cable in this thing and the gauge is out of a bug. Are speedo cables all the same thread size etc? I would like to use a smaller gauge but not sure if a different brand will work with the existing cable?

Awesome Charlie. :banghead: I would think the threads on your gauge are metric, should work on another metric gauge though.

Oh yah, I would get into some trouble with that! Will it need some sort of front weight so it'll steer? I had a Honda Odysey[spelling] that wouldnt steer to well cause the front end was so light. Is the second link in your first post supposed to be a movie clip? If so I cant see it.

Mike........
