Stress Test Pullin

The lever they are holding, on their right side, is what? (must not be the usual pto engagement?) Is this how they applied the power to the tranny? instead of the pedal type?

thats to control direction and speed of the the hydrostatic transmission

Another set is found, Ron Castleman just sent me a few pictures of a charger he has and it has a set of the rare white wall tires, that is 3 sets of 33 there has to be a few more still hiding. (side note everyone that owned them must have liked the red wheels that is not factory, so far all three sets are on red wheels)

Thanks Ron for sharing these with us.

That's odd........

That one looks like a 1971 Charger with a '68/'69 hood.

EDIT: Never mind..... it's a "mix-n-match" tractor.

I think red really makes the white walls pop and cream/tan wheels would just blend in with white walls? I like the red much better myself..

Thank you very much Kelly for sharing this part of history with us. Young and old we all love Wheel Horses if we like tractors just a little bit.

Learning their history helps us enjoy them all the more...

Keep it com'n...Thanks to all you guys! :woohoo:

This tread is a few years old, I still have both sets of tires, Ron still last I knew has his, and I seen a full set of 4 on wheels sell on Ebay a few years ago, they brought REAL good money, and those rims were not painted red.  That brings the count up to 4 sets I know about and have seen.

Not quite sure what your asking?? The tractors after the race was over where sent to local dealerships and sold to be used, and yes the tractors can be found, I have one here and bought the tires off another one.

Looks great even if it is white tire paint.

Wasn't white tire paint (or is) at one time off-the-shelf?

Thanks for the post 'n history!
