lynnmor 7,294 #1 Posted Wednesday at 10:37 PM Our York County officials declared a burn ban starting Friday, so I hastily tried to do some leaf cleanup and burn. Well the lawn sweeper lost a tire and I couldn't find one locally so I decided to mulch the leaves. That plan didn't get off the ground, the stupid low hour 25 HP Kohler starter blew up. Why would they think that attaching parts inside a starter with glue would be a good idea?

I have been collecting and composting leaves for years and the compost is free garden gold.

squonk 40,950 #6 Posted Thursday at 10:52 AM I mulch with my recycler deck. Blow the remnants into a pile. Then set my Flowtron Leaf eater in my dump cart and fine mulch those remnants. Drive to the garden and dump. Great way to spend a nice fall day. 1
Pullstart 62,650 #7 Posted Thursday at 01:07 PM We used to have burn restrictions where we lived near the city. It was a pretty upity place to live. No bonfires were allowed, but cooking fires were. Well, I could have a cooking fire big enough to light up my back yard for the night, I just needed some burgers and marshmallows nearby! 1

I don't have a leaf problem. A North wind usually deposits them on the field behind me.
