Stigian 1,234 #1 Posted February 11, 2008 I have no idea what this little orange machine is Anyone have any ideas? I like the price and its not too far from me orange thingy
Rollerman 290 #2 Posted February 11, 2008 Ian pretty interesting tractor there. I've never seen anything like it....but it does resemble a Power King Economy tractor & also the later models from Speedex. Deffinatley keep us posted if you decide you have to have it!
Jim_M 178 #3 Posted February 11, 2008 It's not an economy, power king or jim dandy tractor, the engine is in the wrong position. Other than that I don't even have a guess. If you buy it be sure to post anything else you might find out about, I'm curios now.
Mith 2 #4 Posted February 11, 2008 Might be an old Gutbrod or something, but I'm thinking home-made. Look like a neat machine though, nice price too.....
T-Mo-(Moderator) 4,337 #5 Posted February 11, 2008 I'm thinking that it might be a brand or tractor that is unique to the European and/or UK market. I know that JD makes some equipment just for the European market and it isn't available here in the states. Ian, I'm not sure but there might not be an US equivalent.
pond195520032003 27 #6 Posted February 11, 2008 I have no idea what it is it does seem to have a crosley transmission of coarse alot of tractors use that same transmission, some speedexes, farmette, economy/jim dandy/power king, etc. cant really tell what it is and have no experience with tractors across the pond

Rollerman 290 #10 Posted February 12, 2008 Just think of the possibilities Ian! I mean you could weld up another dozer blade. Add an FEL & put a back hoe on it. Maybe a sickle bar on the left & a flail mower on the right side?...boy that be a lot of pictures & writing too. Heck if it's the right price & you want it thats always a good enough reason to bring a stray home.
Rollerman 290 #11 Posted February 14, 2008 Ian whats the word....did you win?
Stigian 1,234 #12 Posted February 15, 2008 Sorry guys, we may never know what it is. It went for a bit too much money for my taste
pond195520032003 27 #13 Posted February 27, 2008 Ian, check out this tractor! looks similar to the one you posted about earlier http://cgi.ebay.com/Rare-Antique-USF-lawn-...1QQcmdZViewItem guess it was built here in Ohio for over seas
Rollerman 290 #14 Posted February 27, 2008 Greg isn't that a neat one? Again I know it's not...but "resembles" the PK's to me even though it's not. I like the fact it has a 23HP Briggs single too? (model 23)....
pond195520032003 27 #15 Posted February 28, 2008 Stephen, yes it is! first one i have seen and i like it probably will sell high
Rollerman 290 #16 Posted February 28, 2008 I see it's down in KY...I didn't mapquest it for the exact location. You never know...seems like most garden tractors sell higher up north & along the east coast. I do have a friend in southern IN watching that one though. Did a yahoo search on the make & got nothing...has me curious?
combatmp29r 27 #17 Posted February 28, 2008 Hmm interesting. That sure does look like the one Ian was looking at. Never heard of the manufacturer though. No surprise there never heard of alot of manufacturers I'm sure
CasualObserver 3,406 #18 Posted February 28, 2008 Ummm... am I missing something? Those two don't look anything alike (except that their both tractors?) The rear axle/tranny is different, the engine is 90 degrees off between them... ??? what are you guys talking about?
Rollerman 290 #19 Posted February 28, 2008 Jason they don't...but both have "vague" similarities. Your right....the UK tractor is a belt drive & the KY tactor looks to have shaft drive. To me though...if you skwint...they both have similiar lines.... I just have a thing for the odd ball tractors I guess.....never seen either type before.
