That's at or near the beginning of acr.

Was it originally built with it?

Why do you think it isn't working?

Turning over hard/very slowly?

Very difficult to turn over, I actually have to help it by turning the crank by hand

Is there anything that can be do to help it? I pulled the cam cover and I don't see any sign of a ACR.

Has the starter generator been rebuilt?

Are ALL the wiring connections in very good clean condition?

In particular the battery cables..

Is the battery good and strong?

Might be time to address the S/G.

Isavetractors YouTube channel has a very good rebuild tutorial on them.

Any chance you have a spare S/G to swap in?

Is the belt from the S/G to the engine a notched raw rubber edge belt, it not it will not deliver as much power to turn over the engine.

Not sure about the belt, I'll take a look and replace it with a notched one. I'll assume the picture is the correct one from Napa or for reference purposes only??

Wouldn't hurt to post a "wanted" ad in our classified section.

Also do feel free to post a thread in Implements to see what other model's deck might work.

If you come to the Big Show in June there is bound to be a deck or two for the 953/1054 there.

Came up on a box of parts today. Had the factory throttle lever in it with the white knob and what I believe may be the Gen light...

That is your generator light, large terminal goes to the starter button on the post that feeds the S/G "A" post , the other wire goes to the key switch post that goes to the ignition coil.

Update and a thanks for the help guys. Finally got some time to work on the 1054 today. Taking 953 nuts advice I purchased the correct s/g belt and also rebuilt the s/g. It cranks over much easier now and she fired right up. I took it for a ride for the first time since 96-97. Everything seems fine except full throttle is definitely not full throttle. Any help or ideas would be great as always!!!
