  1. A Wheelhorse C-165 8 speed, nice solid tractor everything works and operates as it should, all lights works(stack will be removed before sale)unknown hours it was only an option for the 165, but the 16hp single lung cast iron K series motor starts right up and runs strong. It will need new motor mounts. Transmission shifts smooth, package comes with plow w/optional down pressure bar if you choose instead of your trunnions chain, a set of tire chains, a set of Toro brand front wheel weights and a set of generic rear wheel weights, and lastly a full set of hub caps that are in decent shape they can be cleaned up, $1000 obo. Would like to sell as package but if the right buyer was interested in the right combo of stuff for the right amount of money we could work something out. Pickup only in Millersville PA 17551
  2. so I spent a few hours today welding up a custom front weight bracket for my 310-8. It has two and a half inches of ground clearance with a generic 12 inch weight bolted on. so the question is, how well do y’all think the 300 series front axle will hold the weight? It’s only 50lbs so it’s lighter than the snowblower it has to hold up in winter so I don’t think I’ll have any problems. And I really don’t intend on using it constantly.
  3. I had a bit of an idea for my 310-8. I’m thinking about making a weight bracket that kinda slides onto the factory wheel horse bagger mounts. Anyone ever do anything like this before? How much weight do you think the bagger mounts could hold? I probably wouldn’t put anything past 50lbs on it. Kinda like the modern craftsman weights they mount to the rears of the tractor. I’d figure it’ll help counter balance the blower in winter

    Wheel Weights

Can anyone tell me if 23 10.50 12 Wheel Weights will work on 23 9.50 12 wheels?
  5. What is a reasonable amount to pay for a set with 12 inch wheel weights pictured below? Thanks Edwroy
  6. I need some guidance. I have a 310-8, and I am setting it up to plow snow this winter for the first time. I will buy chains and put them on. I am also shopping for wheel weights. Do I need to get Wheel Horse Wheel Weights or will another brand work? I have seen some used weights on CL and found Craftsman weights at Sears. Will any weights with a 12 inch diameter work? What do I need to do? Thanks

    wheel weight question

Aside from genuine WH wheel weights, what other brands are possible considerations for an 857 wh? Would current Sears wheel weights work on my old 857?
  8. I wondered if any of the regulars here ever made their own wheel weights? I am not talking about poured concrete, brake drums filled etc. I am talking about turning a set out of steel on a lathe. I have about settled on making my own front weights. I figure to make a set for both the front and back side of each rim and mill out the space for the valve stem. drill them out and bolt them clear through. While I am at it I figure to put on a set of tri ribs and fluid fill them. If that isn't enough to give me the steering I want I will next look at fabricating up a holder and bolting a stack of steel to the front, but I am hoping the tires, fluid and weights will be enough to give me better control steering. I don't want to do the roller chain thing. So back to my original question. Has anyone here lathe turned their own wheel weight set for their tractor? I found nothing doing a Google search on the subject.
