    WHEEL HORSE WHEEL WEIGHTS/NEED HELP

THANK YOU FOR THE REPLY. I WILL WANT TO POST THEM AND THE K161 IN THE CLASSIFIEDS, BUT I AM STILL TRYING TO FIGURE OUT HOW TO POST IN THERE.
  4. ALRIGHT ALL YOU WHEEL HORSE FACT FINDERS......I HAVE A QUESTION. DID WHEEL HORSE EVER MAKE A 2 PIECE WHEEL WEIGHT? I BOUGHT A 1967 DEERE 110 FROM A WHEEL HORSE COLLECTOR. IT HAD A K161 OUT OF A WHEEL HORSE IN IT, AND ALSO SOME STRANGE LOOKING WEIGHTS IN THE REAR WHEELS. THEY ARE CAST, AND IN 2 SECTIONS, AND THEY TAKE 4 BOLTS TO HOLD THEM ON. I HOPE SOMEONE HERE KNOWS/OR RECOGNIZES THESE WEIGHTS. I WILL POST PICS IF I CAN LATER. THANKS IN ADVANCE.

The largest collection in the state?

Ron I thought Branch worked for a big auction outfit down there in Whitley county? He had or has a smaller yard off SR5, not sure if it's still there, but I know he was under pressure at one point to clean it up. Most of his stuffs at the family farm now, you'd have to fly over to see it without being invited. I was given his PH# by a friend & bought some items at the SR5 location, never been to his place. Like Scott mentioned he's not in a hurry to sell anything, so don't expect any deals (ebay may be cheaper)....the more you deal with him the better he'll work with you too. he works for a local farmer down there. there is still some stuff @ the corner on SR5, the house and building are full. the majority of the stuff is 2 miles southeast of there. he owns/uses several buildings in the area that are packed full. one of the barns that is full looks like it is one good storm/wind away from blowing down. it was clear full of john deere stuff.

very well said, he is willing to sell some stuff for a price, but does not go out of his way to sell anything. he works a full time job, and judging by the amount of ope he has,he does not sell much of anything each month. if you look around, you can see tractors that were nice originals or even restored when parked. when they set outside,it does not take long. i know a guy that sold him a really nice, near new cond., tractor, he hauled it out to the farm, backed it off the trailer, it is still setting there in the weeds.

did not see that one, where is that picture from? it almost looks like the implement dealer south of S. Whitley on SR5?

The largest collection in the state?

I bet that many are visible on Google Maps or Bing Maps in Aerial view. 2 of the 3 sights are visable by aerial view on google. you can only see there is alot of something there, not really tell what it is.

The largest collection in the state?

Thats who I was thinking of as I was reading this. you guys must know who i am talking about? he is a little different, but an alright guy. i definatly believe he has a serious "hoard" going on there.i just do not see the point of it,it is such a waste. i could see it if he sold parts off of them, but very few of them were parts tractors when they were parked. sadly enough, setting out in the open, they are all destine to be parts tractors.

The largest collection in the state?

sorry, there will be cameras on this property, not now, not ever............per the owner
  11. well i think i stumbled across the largest tractor collection or hoard, if you will, in the entire state. i have heard about this fella for some time, but seeing is believing. well over 1500+ tractors. the sad part is this, i would say 75% of them ran when parked, many of them are stored indoors, but the majority of them are rotting away outside. 90% of them are wheelhorse, cub, deere, and simplicity. many very nice suburbans, 500 & 700 series rotting away. i saw a really nice 520H with a tiller, deck and blower, just setting in the weeds rotting away. this guy could care less if he sells anything either.he is definately a collector, but i don't see the point in letting rot away,o rat least selling parts off of them. if you are ever in whitley county, indiana, drop me a pm, and we will see if we can catch up to this guy.

    NEW WHEEL HORSE COLLECTOR

JUST WANTED TO TAKE A MINUTE A SAY "HEY" TO EVERYONE HERE. I HAVE BEEN COLLECTING LAWN AND GARDEN EQUIPMENT FOR 25YRS, AND HAVE A NICE LITTLE COLLECTION OF MOSTLY DEERE AND A FEW SIMPLICITYS'. I HAVE ALWAYS LIKED WHEEL HORSE BECAUSE THEY WERE BUILT NOT TOO FAR FROM WHERE I CALL HOME. I HAVE EVERYTHING IN DEERE AND SIMPLICITY I WILL EVER WANT TO OWN. NOW IT IS TIME FOR ANOTHER BRAND. I HOPE TO BE ABLE TO FIND A NICE LAWN RANGER, AND MAYBE EVEN A SUBURBAN. AS OF LATE I HAVE BEEN TRYING TO FOCUS ON SMALLER TRACTORS. THEY ARE EASIER/CHEAPER TO RESTORE. AND I CAN HAUL THAT MANY MORE TO SHOWS. SO I AM LOOKING FOR A NICE ORIGAL LAWN RANGER TO START WITH. THIS IS A GREAT FORUM WITH TONS OF USEFUL INFO!
