9 pointsI got this 48" plough from Ed Dog about 4 years ago. I think it's about time I made it 1 color! Had the plow skid mounts made now to pretty things up. Back is done. No Steppenwolf was played watching the paint dry. Just a little Steve Hackett. Ordered new decals from Terry. going with a 60's motif as this plough will be going on my 953 A couple of days and we will do the other side.

9 pointsWorked on my 701 front steering today and added a plate under one of my RJ seats to be lifted so I don’t scratch the fenders.

7 pointsWorked on the lights today on the C-161. Got the front and rears both working. < to my surprise >. Kept popping the little glass fuse. My eyes are not very good anymore, but I nor the kid at my favorite hardware store could read it. Anyone know off hand what they are supposed to be? Fuse kept popping. I found a section of wire that looked a lil crispy so I cut that section out and replaced it seems ok now. Just not sure if I have the correct fuse in it. I also replaced the fuel line on the Speedanza. Waited for my parts to come in for the C-161. Looks like tomorrow for one package. Feel like I am a kid at xmas waiting.

7 pointsYa gotta watch this video! I didn't think a 13 horse motor could do all that, but there it is! Randy

7 pointsWas a beautiful evening after I got home from work, so we all figured we'd get a couple Horses out and let them stretch their legs a bit. The C125 cranked right up, but i had to jump the 753, I never can get more than a year out of a battery. The boys wanted a ride on the John Deere before it goes to it's new home Friday, so we got it out as well. Went for a nice ride around the ranch, then I used the 753 to drag some old pipes out of the driveway and down to the junk pile in the back pasture

5 pointsAre you building a privacy fence so your Governor wont catch you planting seeds, can't be too safe out there.
-
5 pointsGot more plough painting done. My honkin fan dried it nicely so far.
-
5 pointsSo...you making a wooden Stonehenge or what? You know our Michigan Whitetails are gonna two-step over those if the buffet is worth it!...
-
5 pointsTraded the Deere I bought at the auction a couple weeks ago for this. Only pics I've got right now, guy doesn't know anything about it, going to get it Friday after work

5 pointsI put a k301 on my 856 used a Cub engine with the flat pan but I did have to notch the frame for the flywheel housing and I put the battery in the tool box under the seat.

4 pointsThat's proof right there that deers is smarter than me. I like peanut butter quite a bit and I would probably just keep going back....
-
4 pointsThat looks like the foundation for an elaborate deer stand Jim. With a grocery store on each side of it should provide plenty of back straps for the BBQ this winter. I'll take venison over spinach and string beans any day. BTW, Kevin, my Amish neighbor put an electric deer fence around his 10 acres of sweet corn and it worked to my amazement. It was a single strand of what looked like a 1/2" wide webbing with two fine wires in it. He strung it on 36"X 3/8" fiberglas rods . Then smeared a glob of peanut butter every 10'. The deer licked the PB,got their tongues zapped and never came back. He only had it up about 3 weeks. If he puts it up this year, I'll get some pics.

3 pointsI'm about to purchase my first Wheel Horse! Way back in the 80's, my first job was at a Wheel Horse dealer and I fell in love with their rock solid simplicity. I even talked my Dad into buying a fully-loaded 416-8 back in the day. I found this local deal for a very clean looking 310-8. I'd rather a 4 series, but this one looks really good. And it seems like a great deal at $450, but I'm not really sure of the going rate these days. This would be in the Northeast if that matters. What do you experts say? Thanks!

3 pointsPull that cotter pin in the trunnion just above the hoop, watch the magic happen.
-
3 points$450 seems fair going by the pics. Obviously it needs to run good, working battery, tires holding air (or newer replacements ), have a solid deck with fairly quiet spindles, that’s all stuff you’ll need to check out
-
3 pointsBy looking at the pics it appears it has spent most of it's life under cover for the most part, I myself would spend 450.00 for that tractor if it runs, drives and is fairly tight. Good luck with your decision.
-
3 pointsDisconnect the drive belt to make sure the noise isn't from an idler pulley or something beyond the engine....
-
3 pointsHappy Happy Mike! Your birthday present awaits you! The very rare '64 blackhood!
-
3 pointsI saw a 28hp Case steam traction engine pull a tractor pulling sled that was set up for a higher unlimited class right out the end of the course. Gearing, traction, and weight can do amazing things.
-
3 pointsIt makes scents to me Mike. You can call it plow or you can call it plough or you can call it dozer or you can call it Ed Dogs pusher.
-
3 pointsI painted a 1054 tractor ten years ago or more with a quart of Rustoleum red paint (not sure which color) but I researched how to apply with a brush! The secret is a product that painters use on metal like aluminum siding, exterior sheets, etc. It is called Flood Penetrol and it works great. No brush marks will be left if properly mixed and applied with a good bristle brush. https://www.hardwareworld.com/pw3atqx/Penetrol-Oil-Paint-Additive-Quart A quart should do you !

2 pointsLook what I just found! Trying to see what price it will be to ship it from Denmark, that would solve all my problems and the hassle of converting something else. Looks like it uses the front and middle attachment points.

2 pointsAlso going to gain some experience working on a hydro plus it will keep me out of trouble during the pandemic Pick'em up cheap no matter what condition if nothing else lots of parts
-
2 pointsAnd 13 horses are still 13 horses not much matter of the size. it just depends on gearratio what 12 horses can pull. Ok the friction clutch will also help a bit

2 pointsRegistry on a sickle means that the direction reverses when the section (aka cutter blade) is directly over the stone guard. Reversing direction when they are not in alignment causes jamming poor cutting etc.

2 pointsLooks like it has a big block under the hood, I can only make out one shifter, so here is my guess. It looks to be either a 1056, a 1057, or a 1257. Looking forward to seeing more pictures.

2 pointsI'll stick with traditional wire brush on the tins. I'll check to see what I have available for light duty media.
-
2 pointsoh, then I have to appear in traditional Bavarian costume ... It was still planed, but then for the Parade it‘s definitively a must! I hope that the Lord will get us all through corona well.

2 pointsKeep the oil changed and the fins clean and she will last a long time! Some but not all issues with the Onan are started some place by neglect. I had one with over 1500 hours and the guy I sold it to is still running it pushing 1700 hours.
