14 pointsCame home to a wee-bit-o-snow to clear....maybe 1-1/2”. Been a slow winter as far as snowfalls and I was bored, so decided to snap a couple glamour shots

9 points@JCM make sure you find the Vintage Trucks thread if you haven’t checked it out already. There is about 9 pages of cool trucks that members own, owned, or wish they owned! I have had my Goat for just over two decades now and it feels like a member of the family... If I could afford it, I’d own several muscle cars. However, I don’t have the space or the finances to do that. I’m thankful that I’ve been able to keep this one through the years and bring home each one of my kids from the hospital in it following their birth. ENTER GT’s: they are awesome because they scratch that mechanical itch that I get to restore and rebuild stuff at a fraction of the cost and you need far less storage space!

8 pointsWorked on my 701 a little bit tonight, decided to give it some custom touches. Flipped the front spindles to lower the front end, was thinking of lowering the whole thing, and still might, but I think it looks pretty wicked how it sits right now. The pics really don't do it justice, it looks a lot better in person. Need to find some wider wheels and some different tires for the rear.

8 pointsI have been building and driving street rods for nearly sixty years. This '48 FORD F1 pick up has been on the road for three decades!

7 pointsLadies and gentlemen. Boys and girls. Children of all ages. It is back together and running and I was able to drive it for a few feet. Ignore the gaumy looking exhaust setup. That was temporary. This tractor will end up with the stack I bought from @squonk which was originally made by @jimkemp. I just need to pick up a couple of pieces. Tonight we will finish putting on a couple of brackets and the hood and the lift lever. Hopefully within a few days I'll take the time to turn this into the plow tractor for the driveway.

5 pointsThe first photo was taken shortly after i built the truck over thirty years ago. The truck and I both looked a little better three decades ago.

5 pointsPut the finishing touches on a 3 speed for a 1055 resto and worked on a K 161. Primed a short frame that was starting to flash rust. Dan @Achto stopped over for some shop time and to eyeball some new to me's. We also broached some roached hubs. Look for an add in classifieds as will be offering this service.

4 points“No horses were harmed in the making of this film...” Thanks Jim for bringing a smile to my face and a chuckle to my lips this morning! I love how you are looking like you are making an early 80’s promo video for one minute (with your non suitable for snow removal gear and a horse baseball cap) and the next you are ducking and covering. Reminds me of the old Sierra Mist commercials. “Sierra Mist—it’s kinda like that!”

4 pointsTrina not only does the painting and heavy lifting, now she is doing some great photography too! Erick, she is a keeper!
-
4 pointsAdam I don't think that's a sneaky suspicion. I think that's the bald truth. I sprayed a couple small things here and there but she did 98% of the painting.

4 pointsThis is what my Wheel Horse has done for me. Red overspray, so the last few weekends have been disassembling and cleaning.

3 pointsAfter reading the topic How did you come up with your screen name I came across a very nice 1973 AMX owned by AMC RULES and I am amazed that a lot of RS members seem to enjoy a lot of the same interests.I purchased a 1970 Dodge Challenger in 1976 with a 318 and did have some fun with It,but in 1977 I decided i needed a little more power and found a 1970 Chevelle SS 396 with 17,000 miles on it,quite a bit difference under the hood, and then had to have hedders, aluminum intake, bigger carb ,cam and the list goes on. I noticed it had a very similar air cleaner with the large rubber gasket which seals the underside of the hood that Chevy called Cowl induction, not sure if AMC called it the same. Anyway I sold the car in 1999 to my brother in law so at least it is still in the family. It seems funny that we seem to have big boy toy syndrome and enjoy these little tractors so much. And last but not least the underhood of that AMC was impeccable. Jim

3 pointsAfter 5 years of abuse, my project C4 has had its first failure. whilst driving up a gravel pile it slowly sank down until I bellied and gravel got trapped in the transfer mechanism. hoping nothing is bent and it’s an easy fix! I think it was worth it for the picture I wanted though

3 pointsI have been contemplating about picking up a welder for the longest time. I went to Harbor freight today and picked this up and boy am I glad I did. Now this ad's a new twist in my rebuilds . I have access at work to bigger welders but this will help me in some other thinner metals!
-
3 pointsForget the other stuff Ed. I’m digging that rj! Bring it to the show and it might just have to jump up in my truck and follow me home. I’m sure you might want a little something in exchange though. Work it out and go get all of it so we can start fighting for it😂!

3 pointsHey... Uhh.... Somebody has to wire brush all the hardware. I get one o those vibrating cleaners she'll be on her own.
-
3 pointsI have a fairly good quality digital camera that takes amazing pictures & the 30X optical zoom is fantastic at times. The only problem is that you have to remember to take it along. I end up useing my phone for most of my pics simply because it's always with me. Cinnamon looks absolutely awesome!! Trina does great work! It was nice of her to let you help.

3 pointsthe posting that I do on this website is only a drop in the bucket compared to what she actually does. Nearly every time we go outside for an adventure of snowshoeing or hiking or even just a short walk, she brings her cell phone which is her ONLY camera. every year she uses those pictures to make a calendar which we hand out to friends and family. In 2017 she captured over 1,700 images!! As you can imagine it took her a few weeks to sort through those to find 30 or 40 for the calendar. We've been mulling over picking up a slightly better quality camera......

3 pointsIs that you in the first pic Richard or did you have a Fonz stand in?!?! I personally gave up on the high dollar hobbies (HD's) when my first wife cleaned me out years ago but now that I have a wife who is the bread winner I took up horse thieving & tractor shows ... just something the whole family could enjoy and a bit less dangerous.

3 pointsQuit being a tightwad then EB...just cause a guy ain't hungry don't mean he can't look at the menu. Life's too short and ain't never heard of taking it with ya! 'Sides the other fellas tell me the bank comes to you when they need money!

2 pointsThank you for taking the time to post a reply. Your suggestion to check the frame was exactly right! Actually, no cracks in the frame but I had lost one of four bolts and a third bolt was loose. I used a floor jack to line up the bolt holes and low and behold my shifter works smooth as silk now. Thank you so much!

2 pointsLooks like you may need a bigger flea spot at the Big Show. Buy it all, you know it will sell.

2 pointsI would love a quality zero turn but I don't have the money for that. Going to spend all I have on the house. I may consider doing the 520 front end swap on my 161 since it has the 22hp predator and find a 60" deck for that.

2 pointsIt has 25 x 900 x 12 All Trails II on the rear with the rear fender gas tank and the fender bracket raised 1 3/4" The 400 x 8 Tri ribs on 3" wide wheels with the long front spindles for 6" wheels. They have been reinforced. Cree 24 watt Led flange mount lights. A Harbor Fright winch in a receiver hitch on back. I also added a 1/2" spacer under the front seat hinge as I didn't like the angle of the new seat. The steering wheel has been raise 3". 80 lbs. of wheel weight in each rear wheel. And the frame brace.

2 pointsWell my previous hobby was racing cars but I have had a couple kids and I was racing last year and hit the back stright wall and thought I broke my back. Kinda put a stop to it and have not raced sense. I always get the itch to go do it again. I miss the adrenaline rush and all the feels you get. Here's a couple pictures of my cars in the past 3 years.
