Today was the 1st snow fall for me here in upstate NY. It was also the maiden voyage for my C-161 and the 22hp predator swap. We got about 6" of heavy, wet stuff and the 42" single stage went through it like nothing. Of course this was after I managed to get unstuck and back in a clear spot. I bought some new AG's and weights but it was too late to swap tires, so all I had was turfs and rear weights. This setup proved to be a fail haha. I managed to suffer through and when I was done ran to TSC and picked up a set of chains. WOW...What a difference. Night and day I couldn't believe it. Now I just need to find a set of wheel spacers so I can make a little clearance so I can install the inner set of weights. My mufflers changed color from silver/grey to a nice golden color. The predator runs much much better now to now that it was able to get nice and warm and run for awhile. It did not like to idle without a little choke and now once warmed up will idle nice. I'm sure as it continues to break in it will just get better. Plus i'm sure there was some residual crap gas in the tank that is working its way through the system.

Hey guys it’s me I had an awesome time at the show.Seeing all the rich pieces of history is a pure joy for me.Second I had an awesome opportunity there. I was admiring(drooling all over)this unique corvette Then the owner comes around and asks me if I wanted to sit in the car... I quickly agreed and got right in.It felt like the seat was welcoming me as I put my hands on the steering wheel. Then I find a stack of papers that were free for the taking about the car.Turns out the guy is a believer. He had the plan of salvation on the piece of paper. On one side it talked about him restoring the car. Then on the other side it talked about how God restores our lives for His glory.God is certainly good!!! So I was hungry (again)and so we went to a snack shop place to have lunch. We were thinking about what to order and we saw something odd. There was one slice of pizza for $8 (and a large drink for $5.25) but they had a meal deal they were selling with two pieces of pizza with a drink for $25.Well I’m no mathematician but if you figure $8 for each pizza that’s $16 plus a $5 drink that is $21 dollars that’s 4 extra dollars. That’s no deal that’s stealing! What’s the deal with that!?!?!

I don't know of any laws requiring certain lights, but there is the law requiring a triangle slow moving vehicle sign. We have no dedicated police force in my area, so pretty much anything goes. I can tell you that motorists will give you no room and it is extremely dangerous with the current crop of idiots. When making snow piles, move them back at least three times as much as you think you might need, and don't block melt water or you will have a pond.

I've found that there are 3 important things to effective plowing. Weight, weight........and weight. I mounted my extra battery (to run the front winch and light bar) on my little LR with ags and no chains.....never slips a tire. I prefer a weight box over wheel weights because I can remove the weight when not needed. The little stinker carves up packed ice and snow on my street with no problem. I plow some of my neighbors drives just to get to plow more.

My first car was a ‘69 Mustang notchback...this beauty caught my eye Check out the position of this car in the production run... This car was unveiled about thirty seconds before I took this picture! Look at the “W” cutlasses! Rare machines! Studebaker race cars! Caleb was blown away by the legendary Ford GT!

I plow 4-5 driveways and mailboxes, so I am on the road quite a lot. And like Lynn said, drivers act like idiots when driving in the snow. I have a SMV sign and a blinking pole light in addition to the tractors head and tail lights. One thing I always do when working near the road is to always face into the traffic lane so I can see them coming.

Typically, you just replace your sector Eric. From this... to this. See here though... should be room to just add another hole to your current three hole sector.

Our day has begun! Three generational shot—I try to never take the blessing of this time together for granted. Stopped at the Oasis for DD breakfast! Caleb is a fan. We are looking to the southwest and waving to our good buddy @stevasaurus Next stop...the show!

Plow wide...really really wide. Use a hydro reverse is much faster... 10 pinion Differentials, steel chains (if you do not have a paved driveway) and as stated weight weight weight.

If you try hard enough I guess you could brake it. In the drag racing community there is an adage the says you build the engine until the transmission breaks, then you build the transmission until the rear end breaks!

Ya made me go out and look at my blade. Yup, there's room. I think I'll do that next spring.

Actually I just went out and measured a 3 and 5 hole frame. You can do it. I thought i read somewhere once that you couldn't but I guess the old memory is bad.

I know, I know! My photographer was not home at the time so I couldn't get any pics of me in action but here's a few of the area that I plowed.

Fabbed up a brake rod and mounted the wheels. Emory wanted to gas it up and go on a maiden run. Was a balmy 33 degrees outside. The little k91 fires right up. Drives good in all 3 gears, BUT...sounds a little like a coffee grinder😙. Given the wear on the differential gear, I expected that. I’m hoping it will smooth out a little with some use now that the chipped teeth are repaired and everything is lined back up as it should be with new bushings. Emory even went for a cruise in the dark. Couple of pics, hopefully more by early next week.

Hello from The state of Iowa. I’m currently getting ready to freshen up my C-160 auto with 16 hp Kohler. It is not a sentimental tractor but a strong reliable lawn mower I want to keep running for many years to come. Last year I restored my fathers Chris Cut push mower. Those mowers were built in Lohrville Iowa. Aluminum deck so rust will never destroy this mower with a good running Briggs. The tiller is a monkey wards I restored also. Thanks for looking.

Trina and I spent some time this evening putting the snow/dozer blade on the Patriot B80. The first Wheelhorse Implement we've used. I've Never plowed with a tractor and I'm really looking forward to it. We had to find and install all the brackets and levers and located pins and bolts and such around the workshops. Aannddd... I was looking for all the above listed stuff and found a Wheelhorse down pressure bar !!! So of course I had to try it out on the leaves at the edge of the driveway. Here's a few pics.

Didn't want everyone to get jealous of my nice clean workbench, so I had to mess it up ...this set up is just temporary until I can find a good deal on the right toolbox for my needs, but it sure is a lot nicer than having to dump out a whole rubbermaid tote every time I needed a wrench

What if I sent you a template to cut your lexan once you have your led light bezel mounted this black and chrome decal could be applied over the lexan to give it a more original look without sacrificing lumins like the original lens?

99.9% of today’s vehicles lack personality. In that .1%, I could learn to like a Demon, a hot Camaro, or something like the GT500 and even higher-hp cars! All the others make me yawn!

Got Hank nestled in for the winter. It’ll be a lot easier to pull out of the garage than it would drive from the back yard.... and now there’s *technically* room in the stable

Can just use the blade to remove hurricane debris a few times a year... On topic - I run turf tires, no weights, no chains with a 42" blade. Typical Michigan slop to snow on three driveways each year. No problems. All are about 175' long and flat so no grade issues. Key thing - Push it back so there is room for more...

Awesome! Thanks guys. I held in the button then banged on that bottom tab with a mallet back to forward & she popped off right onto my Labatt catcher. Next step plow attachment

Should work fine, until you find one. Wonder if Terry, our vinylguy... could make up a decal that could be applied right over the lexan cover? Mimic that factory lens.

I plow a couple driveways and some other areas at my house and I have used a alot of different machines. Last year was 1960 suburban 400 and the year before was a 3 wheeled Copar Panzer T102 with foot operated plow and this year my B140and the list goes on. The biggest thing Id say is making sure ya got adequate weight and traction. I always have used ags, but keep chains ready just in case. Also find the right gear and throttle range that works for you. And most of all never rush, enjoy the seat time. Plowing snow is probably my favorite thing to do with these old machines.

Anyone have opinions on the TILT of the blade top-to-bottom? Most WH blades I have seen have the tilt adjustment in the second hole from the top. But the big trucks that the highway dept uses, don't push the snow. They lift the snow from the road, and throw it to the side. I adjusted my 48" blade at max tilt, and found it did a better job on that sloppy snow that we just had. Along with wheel weights and chains and some momentum, it seemed to lift and throw instead of push. Also, tri-rib tires or chains on the front help to keep the plowing straight. Jim

I got it on clearance at a local Auto parts store when they were changing brands. Here's some pics. Box has the part number. It has a single bolt mount I'm going to fasten to the underside of the hood.

I pin all my rear axle brackets. Actually have 1/4-20 nuts/bolts thru one. It only has to let go once to ruin your plowing session. Easy to get back in place I suppose, but your doing it lying in the snow.

Fitted a few more parts on, after fitting the new chain and aligning the sprockets I found the bracket to hold the guard on missing and as its all painted I didn't want to weld something on so I just made one and bolted it on. I don't really want to do much more until I get it off the bench and fitted on a tractor as its getting heavy now.

Years ago I was blowing snow with the Ford LGT165 and a 2 stage blower with loaded ags, wheel weights, and chains then iit suddenly stopped. I thought something broke in the driveline but it turns out one set of chains came off. Limped it back to the shop and put the chain back on and all was good again (for that day, something broke on that machine every time I used it).

Here’s a few pics from my archives from last years show to whet everyone’s whistle... 1 of 6 a “what if” prototype they only made 15 1972 Buick GS stage 1 convertibles. 5 were at the Show! the very last G-body to come off the line. 38 original miles the big boys!

Well the 520HC worked flawlessly. Driveway, turn lanes, path to bird feeders, path to burn barrel, old one car garage, 2 car shop, mailbox etc all done with no complaints. Tractor and blade are now resting in the heated shop (they deserve it). Cleat
