Steering shaft with Fan gear for Short Frame

Eric, here's what I found this morning. I believe these came off a 657 or 500 Special. No part # on the upper shaft and at some point I must have figured I'd use it since it's painted. It's 17 1/2" long. The steering support is part # 6396. The lower shaft has part # 6471 stamped on the fan gear but that # doesn't jive up with anything I found. It's 17 3/4" long. 

Slipping the lower shaft into the support there is some slop but I don't see it as excessive. 

If any of this will work for you just let me know and they are yours for the shipping.

I don’t know a short frame from a long frame but I have a T1267 (1967 I think) frame with a steering column and fan gear if you think it will work for you let me know.

I also should have the setup you need.  Let me know if for some chance these others don’t work

Jim I appreciate the offer.  

In 1967 the 10 and 12 HP engine tractors were the long frames. 

I thought so but wasn’t sure

Yessir. One on the way.  

We have two other short frame tractors to restore in the next few months/year. 857 and a 1045.  

I don't know if I'll need more then.
