Well, I had a little mishap yesterday and made a paperweight out of one of my 4421 footrests on my 854.

I thought I has an extra pair of them but I guess not. I only need one. :)

You're too kind Jim. I'd like to at least cover the shipping.

To be perfectly honest, it was just another dumb move that I seem prone to doing. When I got the 854 at the 2018 big show the right side foot rest was about 3/4" in from the end of the bar. I tried to move it out but it fought me so I just left it as is. It didn't really matter. Well, I just got an axle bracket and set up my blade for a short frame only to find that the foot rest got in the way of the part where the angle lever pivots and I couldn't raise it. Now it has to be moved out. It still didn't want to budge with finesse so I had a piece of 1/2" x 2" bar stock. and decided to drive it off striking it from the opposite side. It was moving ever so slowly and I figured if I'd fasten the bar stock so I didn't have to hold it I could get a two armed swing. That kinda, sorta worked until the second swing. I heard it clang across the garage floor and shouted out "gotcha you little B*&%*#. Oops! It was just part of it. On the bright side I got the die grinder out and dissected the rest of it off. That's not all though. I barely avoided a major disaster that would have cause major harm to me. My wife was painting the ceiling of the garage and going up and down a 10' ladder. She left a can of paint on the floor with the lid just sitting on the top. That piece hit the can hard enough to dent it but somehow it didn't tip over. If the mess wouldn't have been bad enough it was a special intumescent fire retardant paint at about $90 a gallon. I thought about telling her that she shouldn't have left it there but for once wised up and kept quiet. :D

If you can solder, I've heard of using silver solder on cast iron, but have never seen it done.
