  • Locke Reel Mower

    • Active
      Price: 1200.00
      Location: Richmond, Va

Locke Power Reel Mowers have set the standard for turf care at some of the most prestigious grounds around the world. These grounds include the White House, National Park monuments, L.A. Dodger stadium, Yankee Stadium and Arlington Cemetery.
It’s been said that Locke was the best cutting machine ever made.
This mower was bought new in 1972 and has been used by the family since. I can clearly say that it’s never been abused. Many Locke’s at this age the rollers are worn. Look at the photos they are perfect on this machine.
It’s a triplex 70” cut with reverse gear and sulky.
All fluids have always been changed pursuant to Locke maintenance schedule.
Always maintained with original Locke parts to include the chains which many people did not use and the gears would wear. All the wear items have been replaced. The engine is a the correct cast iron Briggs that was rebuilt in 1983.
No smoke and no knocks, it runs perfect.
I had it in storage for ten years and it fired on the second pull.
The blades are sharp. Last photo shows it cutting newspaper.
I have all the original literature as well as back lapping tools and service manuals.
It’s a perfect running and cutting machine that I’ve care for and used for 47 years.
I guarantee you won’t find a better one. You won’t be disappointed.
