RJ-58 Clinton Motor Color

My original RJ Clinton 1200 engine block is almost ready for a fresh coat of paint but, prior to painting it I would like to obtain confirmation on the original block color. I have seen and read where the original color of the engine block was a blue-ish grey? I thought the block color was originally red..... Can anyone shed some light on this and set me straight? Clinton offered many different colors. The grey and yellow were industrial colors. They also had white and metallic green. For Wheel Horse, the correct color was red. I usually do the engine in Rust-o-leum Regal Red.
