Scrapin a tractor.....together

Been contemplateing building up a 953/1054 style tractor out of pieces & parts.

I'm useing a 10 pinion 8 speed trans....not the strongest, but it's what I had.

I had a set of long 953 axles modified to fit into the 10 pinion diff carrier.

The tires are 26x12x12 Goodyears.

I have another set of Firestone 23 degree ags in the same size & I'll probably use those instead...the rims with the Gooyears fit the 5 lug WH hubs though.

Power will probably be a K301 with the generator/starter.

None of the body panels are great, so it will be a learning experience with some body hammers I picked up.

Not planning on makeing a showpeice out of it...going for mean & tuff.

I like it already looks tuff, you can't paint it you have to leave it rusty to get the full look.

Well it will get painted & degreased....working on an electrolysis tank big enough to fit the 953 frame/fender assembly now.

I'll probably flip the rims around & get the tires a little further into the fenders also.

Looks good Stephen. I was never a fan of those skinny tires the 1054's came with.
