kal1551 0 #1 Posted May 20, 2009 What are we missing? ( My Son and I) We seem to have done everything we know to do to adjust the height right but it still scalps. Its a 42" deck, year "85". I rebilt the deck last year. I ordered a new adjusting rod, thinking the old one was too short, but came in the same length. My old rod was welded together so I assumed it was too short. Help!! dgjks6 6 #2 Posted May 20, 2009 Post pictures. I have spent a lot of time adjusting a 37 inch deck to get it right and now I have a bunch of questions also about a 42 inch deck, but I am going to start another thread. The deck rides on the rear wheels, so make sure they are new. If they are really worn out, then the deck will ride low. Also, make sure the deck is not bent or warped. If these things check out post back and there are more steps to try. Greg
Duff 206 #3 Posted May 21, 2009 Keith, is your deck hung properly in the attachamatic? There's a "fork" that has to be engaged with one of the rods and if it's not it can foul up the adjustment. There's a thread here somewhere about it. I'll see if I can find it..... Duff EDIT: Here's one of the threads I was thinking of.... http://www.wheelhorseforum.com/index.php?...ic=2149&hl=fork
