tiller tines

will the tines from a late 60's tiller work on the newer tillers? not the old ones with the engine on them.

Yup, they're the same animal even though the part number changes a few times over the years.

They can be a bear. I had to use a blue flame wrench and a puller together, which ended up bending the cross shaft. Luckily, my local machine shop made me a new one.

If you don't HAVE to remove them (I had axle seals that were completely gone), I wouldn't risk damaging something that's very expensive to replace.

i tried getting them off with a sledge, no dice. i to think i will have to heat things up a bit to get them off just wanted to see if i was missing something.
