Suburban 550 28 #1 Posted March 29, 2009 The Tillotson carburetor on my 550 had some serious idling issues because the throttle shaft was worn really bad. The engine idle was very erratic and anyone who owns one should know how rare they are and how hard they are to locate parts. I was fortunate to have gotten another one with a good throttle shaft that needed a float and a bowl gasket. Talked to Duke about it and sent it out to him in Michigan where he located alot of the rebuild parts. He even went as far as having a guy down there clean and assemble it for me. Thanks a million my friend that's what this forum should be all about.
