Can someone help me identify this model? The engine is a Briggs 8 hp 318cc

Looks like it is a Ranger 800. Would need the model number to pin it down more but probably early 1970s

This same parts list covers the 1969-1973 models. Click on the fuzzy picture

I believe these are the possible models but there are mistakes in the info available to us. There should be at least one electric start model and one recoil start model for each year and some are not identified correctly. If you can help with corrections that would be great.

Look for an ID plate on the hoodstand up tight to the bottom of the dash panel housing - left, center and right side. Should have the model number and serial number on it.

There may be more files. Enter a model number in the search box in " marks - "2-0200" and click on the drop down menu next to the search box. Select Files and it will search the files only. The results that come up are in no particular order so go through them all. May be more than one page of them too.
