Gmcgruther 4 #1 Posted September 10, 2018 (edited) I bought my first Wheel Horse. It was supposed to be a C-105 but something is not right. No seriel numbers or any numbers to be found but the engine has it's tags. Here is some pictures. CountryRock 198 #2 Posted September 10, 2018 Engine appears correct for a C-105.
gwest_ca-(File Mod) 10,478 #3 Posted September 10, 2018 I think what you have is a 1986 model 310-8 that would have had a 21-10K802 or 21-10K803 model number. One difference between them is the differential carrier bearings. Kohler made the engine in 1986 also. Original hood must have got damaged. The C-105 was produced 1980-1984. SylvanLakeWH 24,078 #4 Posted September 10, 2018 to another Michigander!!! I agree it is not a C-105. Attached several pics of mine and you can see the differences in the console / dash tower. The engine is "correct" in terms of horse power, but I leave it to Garry's expertise in terms of year etc. Enjoy! It is a great machine! BTW - I used to race MX at Baja Acres back in high school (many moons ago)... I assume they are still in business?
Retired Wrencher 4,871 #5 Posted September 10, 2018 Gmcgruther. I say Enjoy the tractor for what it is. If runs good it looks like a good worker.
953 nut 51,464 #6 Posted September 10, 2018 What you have is what we laughingly refer to as a "FrankenHorse". Enjoy it as it is or if you want to find the type hood it was born with you can use one from any 300 or 400 series .

rjg854 10,707 #11 Posted September 11, 2018 I'm sure you'll enjoy the ride no matter what hood it has on it! That's the good thing about Wheel Horse's so many parts interchange between models.
