I do a bit of woodwork myself, but wow, that is beautiful!  What kind of wood is that, maple?  Absolutely gorgeous work!

Awesome stuff!  I like to do metal and wood myself, but I’m more of a rustic type.

The table in this picture used to be my late grandfather’s workbench.  I built the rails and legs out if cedar fence posts.  I’ve done a couple shelves around the house too, mainly with my chainsaw.  Your work surely takes more talent and time!

Yes these are great tools which you can't find anywhere else anymore. Kind of like these tractors are very well-built and last a lifetime.  I have tons of pictures and several pieces I have built which are all my babies!

I have a thriving business here at the Tool Crib🗜

I just did a re-glue on a piece that was late 1800s to early 1900s  armoire.  My next project will be a craftsman style rocking chair with leather seat and armrests.

Thanx for the wonderful reviews on my work! I put heart and sole into each piece I build.

Here are a couple more pics. One is a hall

storage/seat the other is a Morris chair and  ottoman made from black walnut and green leather.

Surprised Dick @953 nut hasn't chimed in yet he's a bit of a woodworker too.

I am on the Indiana State Tree Farm committed ( and have been on this committee for ten years) that  promotes and educates landowners participating in the growing of hardwood trees.

I am working at the Indiana State Fair today.   The use , appreciation and growing of quality hardwoods is still a greatly appreciated activity by many people!

It is always a pleasure to see quality items made from our American hardwoods!  Thanks to Tool Crib for posting this.

Thanx! I like to use reclaimed wood or now it's called repurpose. I look for fallen timber and leave a small foot print! My neighbor has 200 acres of woods of some huge trees. Some as large as 4 foot in diameter. Here are couple more pieces. A full size bed frame and a book shelf.

The other day working on the buggy, Jada my 10 year old was playing with a screwdriver and a scrap 2x6.  Watch’a doin’ Honey? I ask.  I’m not sure she says, but I’m almost done.  Then she calls me over.  I’d says she’s a natural!

Here's a couple of my turnings I've done all my lathe.  All right nothing like making a pile of dust. But first I have to move my tractor out of the garage !

I seem to have missed this one. My skills pale by comparison.

Great work!

My grandfather was a furniture maker and finish carpenter. He made a lot of custom trim and mill work. I’ve got an old plane of his he loved that you might find interesting. It’s a Stanley from the late 1800’s my Pops called it a coffin and boat makers plane. You can adjust the beam to cut around radiuses. When he’d join custom trim that cased curved windows and doors he use it for that a lot making fine adjustments before sanding. It’s got the original japaning and finish just as it was last he used it. I’ll keep it and appreciate it till I’m gone.

I have one like it in my collection. Fellow I bought it from called it a "Cooper's Plane" because it can do inside and outside curves. Very cool tool!

I got no idea whatsoever so I'm going to go with either backscratcher or zebra feeder.

Well I got no zebras, but I’m surprised that your nonsense is so close!  It’ll hopefully feed some chickens more than 2 days!
