Adams94 1,065 #1 Posted August 6, 2018 Had a mars rotary broom delivered to dad place today-I haven't seen it yet- so no pictures yet. Are these rare and what do they usually sell for. We haven't bought it yet, it belongs to a friend of dads so haven't set a price yet. Supposedly it has hardly been used.
pfrederi 17,122 #2 Posted August 6, 2018 Rotary Brooms are not very common. i have a Sweepster not familiar with a Mars. If the Mars has a similar mounting system to the sweepster you may find you want to dedicate a tractor full time to the broom, even if it is only used few hours per year. Getting it on and off and moving it around unattached is a huge PIA. If it doesn't have casters it is a significant short coming. i had to add them to mine
CasualObserver 3,406 #3 Posted August 6, 2018 I'll look forward to the pictures... I've never seen one. They also made a pull behind powered sweeper. I saw one of those at an auction one time. You can find a copy of the sales/spec sheet on ebay. I thought I had a copy of it, but sorry, I don't.

jbird52 19 #6 Posted January 31, 2021 I am glad to see the pictures of an original MARS broom. I like seeing the decals. Mine broom has had the decals painted over. I agree that casters will be a great addition to the broom. I intend to put casters on mine. But it definitely does an awesome job of clearing snow down to the bare concrete or asphalt surface. I used mine again this morning at our Church. Saves lots of shoveling or blade work with another WH. Don't use near as much melter for ice either compared to shovel or a blade.
