SPINJIM 1,978 #1 Posted July 21, 2018 A collection of 22 Wheel Horses was auctioned earlier today in Tannytown, MD, south of Gettysburg. It was from the estate of a Donnie Atwell. He had to be one of our group of collectors. Sorry to hear we probably lost one of our friends. Most of the WHs were already restored. I was tempted to go, but I already have so many tractors, I can't get a car in my garage. I would have had a very upset wife, because I know I would have bought one or two more. Was anyone at the auction to see what they sold for? It was rotten, rainy weather here today, so that may have kept the prices low. If they were extremely low, I'm not sure I want to know. I'll be kicking myself if I missed out to some bargains. (Check AuctionZip for Baltimore for pictures.) Jim 1

You will see all of the auctions for the month within 30 miles. Look under Saturday's list of auctions. Sorry, I'm unable to link their pictures.

rjg854 10,735 #11 Posted July 22, 2018 That man had a very nice collection, and it appears some talent at keeping them running and looking great. I just hope they all found good homes and will be cared for like this fellow did. I can tell he was passionate about them.

AMC RULES 36,945 #13 Posted July 22, 2018 Humm...an estate auction. Seems to be the best opportunity... to get buyers to pay up for a tractor.

You would think so. But the lack of knowledge by the folks on this thread makes you wonder.
