Cessna 1 #1 Posted July 15, 2018 The previous owner butchered the wiring on my 312-8. Is it easier to buy a new harness and start all over again. Now the tractor won't stop when the key is shut off.
953 nut 51,536 #2 Posted July 15, 2018 Is your ignition switch body grounded?
Cessna 1 #3 Posted July 15, 2018 I don't know. How do I check it?
953 nut 51,536 #4 Posted July 15, 2018 A down and dirty check would be to start the engine, turn the key off and then run a small jumper from a good ground (perhaps the Battery "-" terminal) to the switch body. If it stops the engine then the switch is not presently grounded.
