More house work... master bath

The Milwaukee bits for 1/4  &  5/16  are between 15.00 and  20.00  each. They seem to get the job done with water and a slow RPM.

I was skimming the local auction house’s website looking for some decent tires for Mrs. P’s “new” ‘97 Jeep TJ.  I lost that bid, but we ended up finding a set of cabinets we really like for the adjacent wall to the new bathroom.  It’ll be a wet bar / coffee bar area.  I’ll soon be tasked with trying to disassemble the 33” cabinets to make into corner units.  It’s been a long time since I did cabinetry in high school wood shop as a freshman and sophomore.  Any tips from the wood shop pro’s on here would be much accepted and appreciated!

The 9” wall cabinets may or may not receive that third piece between them up to the ceiling.  I was thinking if they were 42” or so apart, they could have a couple floating shelves between them.  The cabinets are 30” high (or across if mounted perpendicular) so I’d loose my spacing as I thought in my head... but a bidding war with two of us fighting over a set out of the 3 pieces offered left me buying a third just to get the other guy to get out of the auction.

The wall will get another custom shiplap treatment, but all the pine used on this wall will go under a few seconds of a torch for the burnt look, then cleared.  It should be a pretty cool contrast with the dark cabinets.

A little wiggle here, cut there, pull some staples here and there...  and we have a face off the cabinet to start.  I want to save the sides, the bottom and front toe kick backer to recreate a corner cabinet.  The glue in this industry is pretty amazing stuff!

There we go.  It wasn’t all that terrible to destroy this brand new cabinet!  Now to duplicate the destruction and start planning cuts and joints!
