Or a little bacon and eggs will take care of that.  Phoebe eggs are a delicacy in Milbridge, Maine.  :handgestures-thumbupright:

I like watching the tweety birds as well. I have 4 feeders with 4 different kinds of feed. My favorite is the Goldfinch. I have a feeder right out my window where my PC is. Finchy will fly in and out of a cedar tree for hours. :)

We have Baltimore & Orchard Orioles, and Gold finches eating outside our Kitchen window. Once in awhile a Purple Finch will drop in.

We have had the Baltimores here. We've only seen them a couple times this year.

We're too far north for Orchard Orioles.

Cool pics!!

"Baltimores" were my late Mom's favorite bird. Saw (see) them rarely in Michigan.

Just curious - Didn't they change the name to "American" Orioles or something to that effect a while back due to interbreeding etc.? I seem to remember Mom Poo Pooing the change...

I didn't think we had them around here either. Wasn't until we started feeding the Baltimore's that the Orchard Orioles showed up. They sure like Grape Jelly.

Thanks but the old camera is starting to show it's age.

I'm afraid I don't know. We still go by the old names.

I remember back about 3 decades there was a thing... They were Baltimores but we were supposed to start calling them Northerns.

Now I found this on Audubon.

This bird was formerly considered to belong to the same species as the western Bullock's Oriole, under the combined name of Northern Oriole.

Well here in Maine we still call them Baltimores....and always have.
