stevebo-(Moderator) 8,034 #1 Posted June 26, 2018 All- I have a mid 90's 312-8 with the magnum 12 on it. Wondering if putting a magnum 16 off a 416-8 is a direct plug in swap? Anyone do this before? 19richie66 16,857 #2 Posted June 26, 2018 Wiring should be the same. Two stator wires, one 12volt supply for rectifier regulator. Ground wire for mag unit to shut it off. They are both are magneto engines and have no points. Starter excite for solenoid. All other wiring would probably be just for that particular tractor setup.
