Stubee 14 #1 Posted June 15, 2018 I bought my Wheel Horse new around 83, and did whatever I could every year to keep it going. This year, grass was growing fast and I had no time to replace a spindle, so I bought a new Cub Cadet to hold us over. I appreciate my old friend even more after the $2000 cheaply made plastic toy that I'm hoping will hold up to our yard even a year or two. Found a spindle, got it on, good to go. There is nothing like an old Wheel Horse. 9
953 nut 51,520 #2 Posted June 15, 2018 I don't think anyone here would disagree with you there! Lots of good people here to help if you need information or parts sources.
RandyLittrell 3,827 #4 Posted June 15, 2018 Well, if it will make you feel better, we bought a cub cadet zero turn about 12 or 13 years ago and despite beating the heck out of, its still going. It wasn't the commercial one either. I bought a 310-8 last spring that had been taken really good care of and am doing a lot of mowing with it. Randy
paxz71usa 172 #6 Posted June 16, 2018 (edited) Stubee, I just posted in another thread that after using a few newer tractors for my Father and Law and a couple at work, (all John Deeres) my 45 year old 12 Automatic Wheel Horse is by far the best of the lot! Hoping it out lasts me. Gary Edited June 16, 2018 by paxz71usa
