Aldon 4,826 #1 Posted June 4, 2018 (edited) As noted in longer What I’ve done to tractor thread, my Restomod tractor aka Elijah took a pounding this past weekend while en route to CT meet and greet. Bent the weak metal cross piece at front of frame and scuffed the paint. I’ve been wanting to weld in a stronger front piece and have been procrastinating as removing that GT14 nose/grille is a royal pita. So necessity has driven me to address my procrastination. Aldon 4,826 #7 Posted June 9, 2018 Well I have to travel out of town on business this coming week which puts my projects a significant risk of being even more incomplete than was already the case. The paint decided to react poorly with the original paint sprayed on approximately 3 years ago. So I had to take it back down to the metal which I could not get to until this afternoon. Not sure if weather will be optimal upon return from my business trip to get the finish paint on it. Had to deal with some car stuff but I got back just early enough that I decided I’d try and spray the red. That way it could cure for 4-6 days while I am away.
