ebinmaine 63,086 #1 Posted June 2, 2018 My muffler on my Patriot horse is about an 1- 1/8" away from the hood. Is that enough? @Vinylguy..... But also everyone else.

ebinmaine 63,086 #3 Posted June 2, 2018 HAHAHAHAHHAHAHAHA!!!!! Okay. So. Yes Craig. That's probably true. Maybe. Possibly. I might want to avoid burning the decal? I don't know. Just a thought. But thanks though! I do appreciate the information.

953 nut 51,630 #5 Posted June 2, 2018 I know that a heat gun is one method of removing a decal and it isn't as hot as your exhaust. Too much heat will also discolor the paint.

JoeM 7,621 #11 Posted June 3, 2018 maybe a guard or reflector between the muffler and hood would help?
SylvanLakeWH 24,118 #12 Posted June 3, 2018 You could cover up the decals with that heat muffler tape to protect them...
ronhatch 405 #13 Posted June 3, 2018 (edited) I have my IH Cub stacks above the hood and far enough away so it clears the hood in the open position. That gives me about 2" between the 1" pipe leading to the muffler and the hood. See picture to left. So far, so good! Edited June 3, 2018 by ronhatch
pacer 3,159 #14 Posted June 3, 2018 Going off topic here, but a brief explanation of the tires on my D-160 --- That is a "home made" set up, I wanted a 10" tire to possibly raise the tractor since I only use it for towing. That is a 'cart' 10" tire on a Kubota rim using a shop made spindle to take the 5 lug rim. Wasnt exactly what I was after but at least appearance wise it turned out nicely - I DO like the looks of it!
