I am trying to find out what the belt length is on a 48 inch deck for a 523DXI  part no. 95-3878 . Dealer wants over $70.  I want to find it at a reasonable price.

@Xearl, Ok picture straight from the last xi series I had,  I would just Google it or try eBay ect with the Toro # ,then find your cross reference number...try SLE.COM seems to be the cheapest so far, Jeff.

These numbers don't seem right .  My old broke belt is a bout 101 " inches , the one from my other deck was 100+ or - then I found a chart that said it was 104.35 in . . there are plenty on line I just need the length  .

Cut the old broke belt and measure it in a straight line, then subtract a bit down to nearest std size. Old belt is probably stretched a bit ?

Or how about mounting that one at a 100" you have from another deck and see how it fits? Sound like it is a close match to your measurement.

At least it will put you in the right ballpark, or give you the basis to find the right length from.

      Hello,

I have a C-160 with 16HP Kohler that had a 42" deck on it. That deck needs some work so I switched it to my 5-0721 36" deck that I put a new deck belt and new blades on, but can't get it hooked up. I can't find the transfer belt size for this combo, I think that's what it's called, the belt to the PTO.

I don't know what I hit, but new kids across the ally have been throwing rocks in my yard at a ground hog (all over, they have rock pile from the garden) and whatever it was, it jammed on the spindle of the 42" deck and ripped the deck where the spindle mounts. I'm going to fix it up nice while it's not in use.  Wouldn't you know, I started in the back yard and the front is starting to look bad. I've been fiddling for a few days and bought a couple of  belts but haven't gotten it right. If anyone knows the belt size for a C-160 with a 5-0721 36" deck, I'd sure appreciate your assistance.

I blew a drive belt on my 1983 C-145 hydro and the belt measured 82". I looked up the correct belt and have seen many different sizes called out.

      Is 5/8" x 81" correct?
      Is 5/8" x 81.5" correct?
      or
      Is 5/8" x 82" correct?

I also saw 98" using the same wheelhorse number????

      Any help would be appreciated,
      Thanks!
